TRANSPORTATION

Two-Person Teams:
Teams must make their way to the finish line by foot and public transportation. Understanding the public transportation system will be key! Big hint here: The Breeze and Sprinter will be helpful in making your way to the finish line. Know how to read schedules and timetables!

Private transportation is not permitted and you cannot accept a ride from anyone. Taxis, cars, scooters, bicycles, skateboards, horses, roller skates or any other type of personal transportation is not allowed.

Family-Friendly Teams:
Family/group uses personal vehicle instead of public transportation, stopping at specified locations for fun kid friendly games and challenges

THE GOAL

The race will start promptly at 8:00am from the Pier Amphitheater in Oceanside where each team will be given an envelope filled with 30 different challenges ranging in difficulty — some will be mental, others physical and some will require interaction with the public. The goal is to race to the finish line at the Vista Campus (2405 North Santa Fe Avenue, Vista)  as fast as you can while solving at least 10 challenges. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers, best costume and for other surprise challenges along the way.

For more info, check out the FAQ page and Race Day Info.

HELPFUL DEVICES

Go high-tech! Maps, GPS, smart phones and laptops are all allowed and encouraged! In fact, we highly recommend having some good Googlers waiting by their phones to help you out, too! Some clues will require you to find obscure information. Having access to the Internet and a good “home base” support team will help! Enlist your Growth Group or a few friends to set up “Team Support” remotely to help you through the course.
